Brad Layzell

Founder & President

As the driving force behind AMP, Brad brings a wealth of experience and vision to the program. A former professional hockey player and Team Canada captain, Brad’s passion for developing young athletes led him to create AMP—a program designed to foster skill development, teamwork, and a lifelong love for the game. His leadership has shaped AMP into what it is today, providing players with a structured, competitive, and fun environment where they can excel and grow.

Patrick

Breault

Hockey Director

As AMP’s Hockey Director, Patrick Breault is committed to player development. Patrick founded the WinSport Academy and has over 20 years of coaching, athlete development and programming experience. He has a deep understanding of the game, Patrick leads the charge in designing and implementing high-quality training plans that challenge players to enhance their skills, game awareness, and overall performance. Coach Patty has dedicated his entire career to youth sports development, and we are fortunate to have his expertise and passion as part of our team.

CORY HORSHBURGH

Head Coach Multisport

With a lifelong dedication to sports and coaching, Coach Cory is passionate about developing well-rounded athletes and helping them reach their full potential. His expertise in fundamentals, movement skills, and leadership helps AMP players grow both on and off the ice. Having trained national champions and Olympians, Cory’s focus on effort, coachability, and mastering the basicssets athletes up for long-term success.

Program Director

Aage plays a vital role in ensuring AMP’s programs run smoothly both on and off the ice. A former Alpine ski racer from Norway, Aage combined sports and education on the NCAA circuit in the USA before joining AMP in 2021. From overseeing marketing and communications to organizing events and enhancing the player experience—as well as serving as one of our multisport coaches. His expertise ensures that every player and family has access to top-tier programming, resources, and communication throughout the season.

WILLIAMS

Lead Hockey Coach

Aaron has been a game-changer at AMP since day one! With an incredible coaching career spanning both hockey and lacrosse, he’s led teams to two National Championships at the Senior and Junior levels. His experience coaching hockey at all levels, combined with his passion for developing young athletes, has made him a pillar of the AMP program. Aaron’s energy, leadership, and commitment to helping players reach their full potential make him an invaluable part of our coaching team!

Lascelles Brown

Head Coach Multisport

Lascelles Brown—better known as Coach King—has been an integral part of AMP, helping young athletes build a strong athletic foundation through our multisport program. A former professional bobsleigh athlete, Coach King has competed in five Olympics, earning two Olympic medals!! With a deep passion for athletic development, he is dedicated to shaping the next generation of athletes, both on and off the ice.
